How did Kelly open a retail store after a career in education?

In this episode of the She Will Shine podcast Danielle chats to Kelly Williams. Kelly shares how she opened her retail store after a career in education.

Kelly Williams is the Founder of eco-conscious retail gift store, Pascoe Tales, located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

After working in schools for over 25 years as a music teacher, Kelly decided she needed a career tree-change. While she enjoyed being with the kids, the pressures around teaching increased immensely.

In this episode Kelly shares how the idea of a retail store came to her, the challenges she faced in making it a reality with no retail experience, how she embraced more education for herself in starting the business, how the local community has embraced the store, and how her own creativity helped the business survive multiple lockdowns in Melbourne.
